BAC Group Designates Panama as Regional Headquarters; Relocates Executive Leadership

PANAMA CITY, December 12, 2025 (PBI) – BAC, one of Central America’s leading financial institutions, has announced the formalization of its regional headquarters, BAC Headquarters, in Panama City. The strategic move is designed to centralize corporate governance and streamline the group’s expansion strategy across the seven markets where it maintains a presence.

The new Panama-based hub will serve as the nerve center for the organization, responsible for defining global corporate policies, managing group resources, and providing high-level oversight for regional operations.

Executive Relocation and Governance

In a significant shift of its leadership structure, BAC confirmed that CEO Rodolfo Tabash and four other high-ranking senior executives are relocating to Panama. The group stated that this move is essential to ensuring an integrated and strategic vision for its regional portfolio.

“We are formalizing our headquarters in Panama as part of our commitment to strengthening corporate governance and consolidating our regional strategy,”

Tabash said in an official statement.

“This step reinforces our capacity to coordinate and lead the Group’s growth.”

The relocation of the C-suite is seen by industry analysts as a vote of confidence in Panama’s International Banking Center (CBI) as a stable and sophisticated platform for multinational financial management.

No Impact on Local Retail Operations

Despite the centralization of executive power in Panama, BAC emphasized that there will be no modifications to local banking services or daily operations in the various countries where it operates.

“This move does not imply changes in local banking operations, which continue to function with total normality,” Tabash clarified. He added that the organization remains focused on its core mission of creating prosperity in the communities it serves while maintaining the service quality that characterizes the brand.

The transition aims to improve decision-making speed and regional coordination as BAC navigates a more competitive financial landscape in Central America. By establishing a formal headquarters in Panama, the group joins a growing list of multinational corporations leveraging the country’s legal and financial infrastructure to manage cross-border assets.
